Recently the major Australian banks have ceased to lend to foreign property investors. However, Premium Property Finance still has access to lenders that may be able to assist.
Foreign property investors can borrow up to 70% of the purchase price of a new property in Australia, although there are some restrictions on the types of property that a foreign investor can purchase. Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) approval is required for foreign nationals buying real estate in Australia, except for New Zealand residents and Australian permanent residents.
Our panel of lenders requires a verification of income, and all documentation is required in English. As translation of the documentation is required before submission to the lenders, there is an administration fee payable for all foreign property investor loans. This fee is to cover the costs of translation by a lender approved translator. Apart from this administration fee, our services for arranging your finance are free.
